december rain

It has been pouring rain in the Pacific Northwest for days. The colors of wet trees, grasses and branches slide into one another and on into the creek. The only bright spots are the lichens on branches.

  2. Thanks Loriann and Katherine. The top half painted itself. The bottom half was wiped off and repainted about six times. I finally wiped it off and walked away. When I came back, I said to myself...never explain what can be hinted at (sound familiar?)...and just signed the painting and quit. So, is it water or is it grass in the foreground? The viewer can look at my hints and decide.
