Signs and wonders. It's a sign to walk away and take a break when you have muddy-mess of flowers. It's a wonder what a good wipe-off with a cloth, right down to the Ampersand surface, will do for a good night's sleep. Objects: dried Statice, my gift-box, a gift-cherry and Saturday's garage sale find of a shiny salt shaker (which was really fun to paint)! The Yellow Ochre + Cad Lemon palette was a nice change.
Great process benchmark...knowing when to walk away and step back in with a fresh set of antennas.
ReplyDeleteIt paid dividends.

Clint, walking away is an ongoing problem for me. Thanks for your comment.
DeleteYou mentioned that your support is by Ampersand. Is it clayboard? Any comments on why you chose to use it? Love your edges and your brushwork.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting the image of your painting support. Got to give it a try.
DeleteMarianne, I love the hard smooth surface. I have yet to develop a good relationship with canvas. I will add an image of the panel to the bottom of this post.
ReplyDeleteOptical illusion on that photo. Looks crooked but there it is.
