Collection of the Artist
My last post was about social distancing due to the coronavirus COVID-19 and using my days at home to clean out my file cabinets. Now I'm moving on to my flat files and the drawer marked "Pastel Paintings." Determined to become more organized and have less stuff, I'm sorting through small studies (I haven't gotten to larger work yet) and creating two piles: Collection of the Artist and GIANT SALE.
Because I have been working in oil for the past few months, I am looking at my pastel work with fresh eyes and am especially drawn to these two paintings for their freshness, spontaneity, and lack of detail.

COVID-19 Social Distancing
Many of us are "social distancing" due to the coronavirus. I welcome time at home. I'm cleaning out my file cabinets and shredding old stuff. Yay!
