Each new year I go through my art database and identify paintings that I consider mediocre. It is not unusual for a painting I was previously very fond of to fall into the mediocre category at some point. We each do the best we can with what we know. As we paint more, we learn more. When a painting slips below the "I'm proud of this" line, I rework it. Below are paintings as they are now (currently) and below the current image is how they formerly looked.
